Kathryn,
I've been out of work since July 08. I have 39yrs Sales/Marketing Management experience. Recently drove from D/FW to Houston for interview, they told me I was "over qualified". The marketplace is in turmoil, but you have to keep trying. I've unearthed some more "interesting" Int'l Sales management positions, but the Pay is low (below $100k/yr). I get calls from companies wanting something for nothing, 100% commission with NOTHING on the ground.
Hang in there, the turnaround is coming, but may be awhile.

Thank you so much for the advice & info. I know it is sooo bad out there. Anyone that is hiring knows that there are millions of applicants to choose from so they can pay pennies and someone will jump on it. I am accepting anything over $50k, at this point. So, if you have any good leads that I may not have heard of & thier contact info. I would appreciate you sending it on to me. Have you been to indeed.com & jobing.com? What about Ladders.com? I think either one of those has a position that pays what you are looking for.

Thanks,
Kaydi
We're looking for independent sales representatives for our music supplies business. The pay is 10% commission on any sale within the territory. Currently we're looking to hire reps in CA, NV, WA, OR, ID, UT, AZ, NM, CO, WY and MT.

Average sale is $495.00, so the average commission is $49.50.

It's not hard work, but involves a lot of telephone work, some cold calling, and great follow-up skills
