I think it's the economy.  If you go through a temporary agency your chances are better than if you try to strike out on your own.  If you don't know the Microsoft Suite 2007 you are definitely not going to work anywhere.  I have signed up with several temporary employment agencies & had to take the test for Microsoft 2007.

How many temp agencys have actually contacted you?  Gone on interviews? I have found it a waste of my time to contact them. Never have received a job through one, but have worked temp - years ago.
