Sept 2008 - current Nazarenus College Foundation Hospital Mcarthur Highway , Bulacan

Staff Nurse

· Gives direct nursing care

· Identifies nursing needs of patients

· Plans, gives, and evaluates nursing care

· Admits patients

· Assist patients in moving, maintaining proper alignment of patient’s body utilizing good body mechanics

· Takes vital signs (BP, CR, RR, Neuro-vital signs, input through IVFs, Medications, and Blood products, Outputs through drains such as JP drains, T-tube drains, etc., Total all input and output combined with the NA’s findings)

· Set up and carries out medical asepsis

· Observe signs and symptoms and institutes remedial actions when appropriate and record in the chart

· Reports observation to proper individuals (referral system either thru other hospital personnel or attending physician)

· Observes and responds to patient emotional and spiritual needs in appropriate manner

· Communicates and acts as liaison between patients, physician and other hospital personnel

· Interprets to the patient and family their roles in promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation

· Prepares and assist physicians with diagnostics and therapeutic procedures

· Carries out doctor’s orders in conformity with the hospital policy and legal limitations

· Assist physicians when examining patients

· Relays Diagnostic exam results once release

· Gives and charts medications and patients reaction to medication

· Keeps patients chart and nursing care plans

· Sees that equipment receives are properly cared and maintained

· Discharge patients

· Performs post-mortem care

· Teaches and directs non-professional nursing personnel when she is responsible

· Acts as in charge when so delegated
