Drafting Standards Rewriter and Initiator
In my 20+ years of experience I have been very fortunate to have been involved in numerous disciplines. I have had many years extensive, hands on, experience with welding, board design and drafting, fabrication, product development, manufacturing, construction, inside and outside sales, Shop Forman, service, maintenance and repair as well as compliance with Texas State Board of Insurance Fire Protection and Equipment procedures, certification with Texas Insurance Board and Fire Equipment Board as a Fire Equipment Recertification Specialist and Inspector as well as an Inspector of Quality Service, Repair and Operations of Fire Equipment Trucks and Equipment. While I had my own successful business I learned, the hard way, about being a business owner and manager, business development, payroll, director of finance with the help of a financial advisor and vice president of bank administration (his assistance was indispensible), tax administration, advertising, purchasing, supply chain, government regulations, research, engineering, customer service, litigation and contract litigation to final delivery. In 1996 I went back to school to learn Computer Aided Design Sciences at ITT Tech and my computer career exploded. I found I had an extensive knack with PC Computers and began learning all I could about computers. Since then I have gone to several advanced training seminars and classes in new Autodesk Programs from AutoCAD to Inventor. At every place I have worked I have brought my extensive experience with me and strived to learn every part of business I could get my hands on, always have and always will continue to learn, grow and adjust to new developments and programs.
Skills and Achievements
Internet and phone research for the procurement and purchase of advanced computer programs to advance the abilities of the companies I worked. After purchase I was heavily involved in the installation and integration of the program into the company and training of the company’s employees to integrate the program into the system in a clear and smooth transfer.
Several times when I went to a company, no matter if it was contract or direct hire, I found they had weak or no Design or Drafting Standards in place. After learning the general system, I would put together a proposal for a company/international standard proposal, on my own time, and presented it to the company’s management team. With a few slight changes I was placed in charge of implementing and teaching the new standards to the crew, with the total support of the management team, the changeover was smooth and complete with few problems.
While being a senior designer I worked closely with Design Managers to lay out tasks and determine the best crew to see the project through to completion, filled out control documents and stayed on top of progress and advisement of each project in work at any given time.
As Project Manager I was generally managing and visiting several different projects and project sites at any given time as well as doing the design and drafting, getting drawings to the fabrication shop, supply requisitions, scheduling of crews, liaison with customers and outside engineers, scheduling shop time to get parts and supplies to the construction or fabrication sights as they were required for each project and stay on top of the paper work and updated drawings coming in from customers and outside engineers and designers. At the same time I was required to keep my senior designer tasks up-to date.
Extreme experience with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Architectural Design.
Vertex RSI established my government security clearance presently inactive - secret
