- I have been working in instructional development as a consultant since 1992, almost all in industry with union work forces.
The entire process I use to develop training is based on heavy team involvement. Most projects involve tight deadlines for completion and execution of the training associated with Greenfield start up to internal and external compliance requirements. The major projects have been in the paper making industry, mining, power generation, smelting and alumina refining.
Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), I have performed job analyses, conducted task analyses, created training materials and manuals, and performed technical writing and online documentation. Many of the projects included creating procedures and work instructions in conformance with ISO specifications, and health and safety management systems.
My entire career has involved project management responsibilities, meeting tight deadlines, and delivery of excellent quality product. When employed at Texas Instruments and Tandem Computers I worked closely with third party vendors on all aspects of product acquisition.
Other skills I have are competency with industry standard software Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Doc-to-Help and the suite of MS Office products including 17 years experience with Visio.
