Tell Us About You/Your Company or What Type of Work You Do if Seeking Employment: I graduated from the University of Texas in May with a B.S. in corporate communications. I have a long-term goal of working in communications, public relations, or marketing, but am currently searching for an entry-level position that would allow me to gain the best experience I can. I feel that an entry-level position now will make me more helpful down the road.
I have strong computer, writing, and communication skills. I am organized, responsible, and am able to successfully prioritize even in stressful situations. Following through with my word is extremely important to me and I am willing to do everything necessary in order to succeed.
Last year, while also attending school, I worked for a real estate and property management company. The position required me to frequently use my communication and writing skills. The knowledge I gained gave me exceptional experience that utilized communication skills, sales, and recruitment with clients that would benefit me for this position. I was required to:
• write weekly e-mails for distribution to hundreds of real estate agents across Texas to promote current company listings.
• communicate with multiple vendors daily to schedule appointments and discuss details of the work that was expected of them.
• research and evaluate efficient websites for advertising placements to increase our customer base.
• serve as the first point of contact for new clients by pairing them with agents and maintaining relationships with our clients throughout their home-seeking process.
