I am working for the Houston, TX branch of Frontline Source Group, a staffing agency in Dallas, Houston and Austin. During the school year, I am an English/creative writing graduate student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. I believe in merging the practical and lyric whenever possible - it makes life so much more interesting.

Working Again!

It's great to be working again for the summer! I'm watching the front desk, talking to real live people (instead of reading books), and that's a nice change of pace. But, I am an English grad student, so stay tuned for the occasional diatribe and/or informative essay - I can hardly help myself.

Free Advice from the Receptionist to the Interviewee

I've been the person sitting behind the desk for a year or so, greeting each person who comes in to be interviewed, grilled or otherwise questioned. In this time, I have come up with a list of tips for perspective job candidates.
