Healthcare Recruiting Software Teams Up With Background Check Provider

Because of specific needs within the industry, healthcare recruiting software is often preferred over technological options that are not tailored for this sector. With workers constantly coming into contact with vulnerable members of the population, it is also no surprise that background checks are necessary before hiring an applicant. The need for screening and applicant tracking has created the perfect opportunity for partnerships between providers of both services.

According to a recent press release, two companies will now be teaming up to take care of both of these needs within the healthcare community. Edge Information Management, Inc. (Edge) is now a “Certified Integration Partner” with HealthcareSource, a provider of applicant tracking systems to medical facilities.

Edge’s employee screening capabilities will now be integrated with HealthcareSource’ applicant tracking system, Position Manager.

“HealthcareSource and Edge Information Management, Inc. have had a long standing relationship and integration between out products,” said HealthcareSource’s Vice President of Marketing Michael DiPietro in the recent press release. “We are thrilled that they have become a Certified Integration Partner, which will benefit out mutual customers.”

Currently more than 1,000 hospitals across the nation use HealthcareSource’s Position Manager. By integrating Edge’s background screening services with the applicant tracking system, applicants will be able to complete all of the required employment screening forms electronically. This will enable the companies using the system to automatically send in these documents to Edge, which will get rid of the need for paper applications. It will make the process more efficient for human resource departments because data entry for these applications will no longer be needed, now will they have to fax in document.

After receiving the paperwork electronically, Edge will then send the completed reports back to the Position Manager system. This will give HR workers the ability to access the finished background checks through their system whenever they need to. Because of this, the two companies believe that users will find the new system both more efficient and less time consuming.

"Our certified integration partnership with HealthcareSource provides employers within the healthcare community a proven means of streamlining our cost-effective background and drug testing services within the Position Manager applicant tracking system."
