Employment Networking Job Talk - Careers Employment Jobs Hiring - Nationwide

Maybe Things are looking Up, don't bet on it but Maybe!!!

Had my resume revamped and in 2 days have 3 interviews. They're all for next week, but they're interviews and with any luck, I'll be working again soon. Saw the comment from Frontline - I have an interview downtown with Sherry on Monday. I've seen so many blogs with the "I'm/We're not participating in the recession" well people get a grip on reality this is not a recession it's a "Depression!" and the sooner we all admit it the better. From where I'm sitting, now that all of my savings are gone, unemployment has run out, and there is no money coming into the house at all, I have 22 days in which to sell as much of the "American Dream" as I can just to pay rent in March. I listened to my parents talk about what they knew of the Great Depression and what sticks in my mind is "Use it up, wear it out, make it due, or go without". I know people in worse shape than me, so I'm going to do the best I can and reduce everything even more. Maybe things will look up by Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Well, have a wonderful weekend and wish me luck with next week's interviews.

Thank you Ian

But I haven't given up on my dreams, just reorganized and streamlined yet again. As for losing everything I have, it's mostly too late for that. A new job won't fix all of problems but it will fix some of them. Thanks for the encouragement.

Congratulations Alana

I honestly hope it all goes well for you, and I like the way you think!
Throughout the last 30 years I have heard the word “recession” over and over again I know how much peoples thoughts are linked to the price of a barrel of oil and the availability of oil has been the cause, jut or not for head long busts in to conflict, but the reasons behind the latest “recession” are so unrealistic, that we should not be calling it recession, but problems due to a few greedy companies, please don’t give up on your dreams, I have been there and seen the results of a new job and thing pick up in amazing ways, one minute your desperate your stress level is so high you think you will burst then bang! All is wonderful again and you quickly forget those sleepless nights and wasted hours worrying about losing everything you have built up, and believe me in a few weeks you forget all about it, until next time you need a job.
Anyway all the best for your interviews

Cheers Ian
