Temp Job for Several Weeks

This is the second day of the second week of my temp job. It's hardly the challenge that I'm used to, but it is a lovely position. It's supposed to go for several more weeks, and I hope that while I'm on this job, I get an offer from the company I interviewed with last week. That's where I would really like to work. I did my homework and researched the company prior to the interview and now that I have had the interview - I want the job!! Don't know if it will be offered, but it is more of a challenge that the temp job. My kids, in their infinite wisdom, said I need to be grateful for the job I've got and not go pining after another one, however, I can dream.

Comment by Alana Canning on April 1, 2009 at 5:59am: I did get the job offer, but I was temping for 1 company and got the offer for another company. I am now in the second week of training for the new job and have stopped temping, although the temp job did help pay the bills. Here in Dallas, the job market has seemed to open up a little and companies are hiring for permenant positions rather than just filling the gap with temps.
